Restaurant Review:
The Fit Food Kitchen

Cluster J, Jumeirah Lake Towers

With the fast-paced lifestyles that we lead, committing oneself to staying fit and healthy sometimes takes a backseat. Well now you can bid the issues of time constraints goodbye and jump on the healthy bandwagon with The Fit Food Kitchen! Here’s what we ate at our recent tasting session:

  • Lupin beans
  • Pumpkin soup
  • Rocket Greek Salad: Rocket leaves, feta cheese, black olives, capsicum, capers, cherry tomatoes, flax, chia, pumpkin seeds, & oregano

Lupin beans are known to be highly nutritious and aid in weight loss, enhance bowel movement and consist of antioxidant properties amongst many other health benefits. Garnished with some lemon and black pepper, these appetizing beans have great potential to become popular snack items. We followed the beans with some light and fluffy pumpkin soup and a crisp, colorful salad!
  • Pineapple Pomegranate
  • Super juice (comprised of Kale, Spinach, Celery, Apple, Lemon & Cucumber)
  • Fit Food Chicken Burger with High protein bread: Grilled marinated chicken topped with a mix of nuts on a bed of iceberg lettuce, fresh tomato slices, homemade guacamole sauce and Spanish onion.
  • Smoked Salmon Wrap: Light Philadelphia cheese, smoked salmon, lemon dices, capers, avocado slices, wild rockets, Spanish onion and dill.

Doesn’t everything sound wonderful? Well the food honestly tasted even better! The burger and the wrap were blends of healthy ingredients and tasty zests that were so well integrated that we couldn’t put them down once we started eating. The juices were fresh and complemented the food perfectly.
  • Tiramisu

I must admit we had our reservations when it came to dessert. I mean how good can a healthful dessert be? Even when it arrived, we weren’t convinced despite how great it looked. However, the first bite changed our perceptions completely, YES HEALTHY DESSERTS CAN TASTE GREAT! Created with organic biscuits, low fat cheese and no sugar, Fit Food Kitchen’s Tiramisu boasts of taste and texture that are both faultless.
Although the demand for healthy fare is on the rise, it is not always easy to find well-balanced, wholesome meals when eating out.  Thus when we were invited to try out the menu at the Fit Food Kitchen we were only too happy to be spreading the word about a restaurant offering genuinely healthy food, drink AND dessert that tastes great to boot.  The owner himself, who took the time to take us through the preparations and nutritious properties of everything we consumed, is clearly very passionate about staying fit and propagating fitness and healthy habits to one and all, and his dedication lends the place even more of a personal touch.

The Fit Food Kitchen will be expanding their premises and offerings in the upcoming months so food fans can rejoice because there’ll be more room and even more to choose from!  Head to the Fit Food Kitchen for some good, nutritious food and walk out with both your stomach and taste buds thanking you!
