Restaurant Review:

Beach Road

Scoopi Café on Beach Road, Jumeirah, has gained quite a reputation for its creamy, gourmet ice creams and even more so for having the most expensive scoop of ice cream, the Black Diamond, on its menu.  With exotic flavors and arriving in a Versace bowl with the same cutlery, it’s no wonder the ice cream has made it into the record books. Apart from that, Scoopi remains in the news for introducing the latest rage, charcoal ice creams! The interiors are simple yet the delectable treats such as their own brand of chocolates and ice cream flavors that you spot as you enter, make up for the minimal interiors. The ice creams have been crafted using a liquid nitrogen procedure and there are options galore to choose from. We had a recent tasting at the much hyped ice cream parlor and here’s what we had (& no it wasn’t the most expensive scoop in the world):

  • Madagascar Vanilla In A Chocolate Cup Garnished With Rainbow Sprinkles, M&M’s And A Wafer
  • Rose Ice Cream In A Chocolate Waffle Cone Garnished With Ferrero Rocher And Snickers

The ice cream flavors that we opted for especially the Rose variant were delightful. But what we enjoyed most were the chocolate cup and the waffle, which were so generously chocolate-y that we wished we could keep breaking them off and eating without worrying about any of it ending.

Overall, Scoopi with its friendly and helpful staff and wide-ranging menu is a decent dessert parlor for some tasty sweet treats.
