Restaurant Review: Nathalie's

Sports City, Dubai

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and that is a thought a lot of Dubai residents commit themselves to every Friday morning. We are no different and this time our Friday breakfast hunt took us to the chic, cosy and bright Nathalie’s Café.

Nestled in the heart of Dubai sports city, right next to Fit Republik, Nathalie’s is a coffee and kitchen concept that opened in 2012 and in their words, serves healthy and wholesome food that’s prepared fresh daily, free of any additives, preservatives, and words you can't pronounce. We had been wanting to try this place for a while now, especially since we live merely two minutes away from it.

Charming, stylish and buzzing with energetic and hungry folks, tables at Nathalie’s were getting filled up as soon as they’d get empty, yet no one had to wait! We got a nice, comfortable little table that looked out into the rugby and soccer fields and as there was a tournament going on, the place was even more pulsating than usual. We ordered the whole-wheat pancakes with banana and maple syrup (you can choose from blueberries and strawberries too) and the Eggs Benedict that consisted of toasted English muffins, lean turkey, poached eggs and some delectable Hollandaise.

Our meal was perfectly complemented with a Nutella Shake that blended Almond milk, Nutella, Bananas, toasted hazelnuts, Vanilla protein and was rounded off with granola. Fresh and healthy treats were what we were promised and Nathalie’s sure did deliver all that and more accompanied by an eclectic and vivid ambiance.

Oh, readers rejoice for there’s also a dear little budget bookstore where you can buy books for less adjacent to the restaurant. Definitely a must-visit (we can’t wait to go back and explore the other items on the menu), Nathalie’s is the ideal place for a weekend morning indulgence that will keep your stomach happy and your mind free of the guilt of eating too much!
