Restaurant Review:
Eat Greek Kouzina

MOE
Dubai

We haven’t found too many Greek restaurants in Dubai serving authentic fare or perhaps are not too aware of many Greek restaurants around the city (please do notify us of Greek food places that you’d recommend having genuine Greek food at) but one of our go to places when the Greek food craving kicks in has always been Eat Greek at The Beach. We loved everything about the restaurant from its food to its quaint interiors that would remind one of Greece to the ambiance, everything was spot on. We were recently invited to a tasting session at the restaurant’s newest outlet at Mall of the Emirates. The restaurant is situated in the comparatively newer part of the mall adjacent to the sprawling Vox Cinemas. The décor is colorful and as you enter the vast, warm and colorful restaurant, you will quickly forget that you are in an outlet that’s part of a mall! Here’s everything we had at our recent visit:

Food

  • Homemade Cheese Pie Of The Day: The Special Of That Day Came With Feta Cheese
  • Tzatziki: Yoghurt, Cucumber, Garlic And Fresh Herbs
  • Spicy Feta Cheese: Feta Cheese Puree With Red Chilli And Paprika
  • Chicken Pita: Shaved Chicken Mixed With Tzatziki, Tomato, Onions And Chips, Wrapped In Pita Bread
  • Lamb Pita: Shaved Lamb Mixed With Tzatziki, Tomato, Onions And Chips, Wrapped In Pita Bread

Drinks

  • Fresh Homemade Lemonade
  • Anasa: Pineapple, Apple Juice, Mint Leaves And Sugar
  • Nutella Spartan: Nutella Milkshake Served With A Nutella Filled Doughnut

The cheese lover amongst us cannot stop waxing lyrical about the homemade cheese pie which was a layered treat generously filled with warm cheese. Honestly though, both of us loved this one. The tzatziki and spicy feta were brilliant and we’d give the restaurant a five star rating based on these two alone, that’s how good they were. Pardon us for giving you these images, but long after the meal was over we were couldn’t help running our fingers through the bowls and licking them in glee.  We’ve tried the Pitas from Eat Greek previously and here too we have no complaints but in comparison to the Pie of the day and the respective dips these had to settle for last place in our list of favorites.

We opted for the highly recommended Nutella Spartan for dessert over the other options and have to admit that we’ve had better milkshakes and perhaps should have picked an actual dessert in lieu of it. Presentation wise though, the shake looked great!

Overall, we are quite pleased that more branches of Eat Greek are opening up and we would definitely keep this restaurant on our go to Greek places in Dubai.
